Unknown Pleasures

Unknown Pleasures was created for an avid music lover and fan of Joy Division's 1979 album by the same name. This lamp was designed based on the famous album artwork of this record, transforming the iconic image into a functional object. Built of laser-cut clear and black acrylic and black set screws, this piece can be easily disassembled to replace the LED tape hidden within the frame. The back face features holes for hanging the lamp on a wall, while the depth allows it to stand freely if desired. This project elevates the traditional music poster into a useful art object.
